 Just Desserts takes pride in its commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates by aiding local non-profit organizations through in-kind cake and other dessert donations. We do not provide monetary donations.
Just Desserts has established guidelines to follow when considering eligible organizations due to the number and frequency of requests.
Organization Criteria
Please note that Just Dessert favors non-profit organizations that are based in the San Francisco Bay Area which:
- support homeless families
- advocate the interests of children
- lead in environmentally green solutions
- contribute to medical research
- participate in the advancement of fine arts
Donation requests will be considered only if your organization meets the following criteria:
- Must be a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- Must be within the San Francisco Bay Area Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma
- An organization is generally limited to only one donation within a 12-month period
Donation Criteria
Just Desserts does not support the following:
- Organizations that are not registered charities with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- Political or religion-based groups/organizations
- Public or Private Schools, Universities, Annual school fundraising events
- Lobbying or advocacy groups
- Private clubs
- Labor organizations
- Third-party fundraising organizations
- Individuals or for-profit businesses
- Organized sport teams or leagues
- Fraternal organizations
- Conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, telethons, or corporate picnics
- Solicitations to Advertise
How to Submit a Donation Request
Fax Just Desserts-specific donation request (do not use a form letter) on organizationís letterhead by the 15th of the calendar month prior to when the donation is needed (i.e., send request prior to 2/15 for a March event).

Please include the following information:
- Short description of the organization and its mission.
- Non-profit ID#.
- Event description and the date
- Approximate number of attendees/participants
- Preferred product and use (dessert table, raffle, table favors, goody bags, etc.)
- All requests are reviewed and will be answered by the 25th of the calendar month prior to the event. (i.e. on 2/25 for a March event). If your donation request is approved, you will be provided contact information to arrange to get your product.
Product Donation Pickup
All donated products must be picked up at our bakery in Oakland, CA. We are unable to ship or deliver products.
