Michael Mendes brings deep industry experience to Just Desserts as the company embarks on a new era. A seasoned executive, Mendes previously held executive positions at Diamond Foods Inc. and Dole Food Company. He has served on numerous boards, including the Board of Directors of Hormel Foods, Grocery Outlet, The Wine Group, National Raisin, and the Grocery Manufacturers Association. During his career, Mendes has achieved industry-leading growth and profitability through major corporate transformations and is recognized as an innovative leader who has built widely-recognized consumer brands. A native Californian, Mendes earned his MBA from University of California, Los Angeles. He currently resides in San Francisco with his family. His favorite Just Desserts product is the Vegan Midnight Chocolate Cake.
VP of Finance
Patricia Seymour oversees the accounting and finance aspects of the company. Seymour has had extensive experience in accounting, finance and tax. Starting her career as a Senior Accountant for Sensiba San Filippo, she served as Corporate Controller for several firms in the Construction industry. Seymour has had extensive experience in the food & beverage industry, having served as VP of Finance for Cytosport, Inc. prior to the company being acquired by Hormel. She earned her BS degree at Saint Mary's College. A resident of Solano County, Patricia and her family live in Benicia. Her favorite Just Desserts product is the Red Velvet Cupcake.
Vice President and General Manager
David Baffoni is responsible for day-to-day production and engineering activities at the modern Just Desserts production bakery in Fairfield, California. Baffoni possesses a track record of success in improving efficiency while also improving quality and reliability for businesses experiencing periods of rapid growth. He brings over 30 years of food processing experience to Just Desserts with a history of increasing responsibility in organizations that are leaders in their respective categories. Baffoni was most recently General Manager of Operations for Farmers Rice, California's largest rice milling operation. Previously, he held manufacturing, engineering and capital project management positions with Diamond Foods and Louis Rich Company. He received his BS in Business Administration from California State University - Long Beach, and currently resides in Sacramento County with his family. His favorite Just Desserts product is the Chocolate Bundt Cake.
Vice President of Sales
Jarett is an industry veteran of more than 20 years and has achieved a notable string of successes at top retailers across the country. Jarett’s credentials include Harris Teeter, Roche Bros and Balducci’s, which was established in New York’s Greenwich Village in 1946. He led strategic development and planning for Safeway’s bakery, deli and prepared foods departments nationwide and most recently, he played an instrumental role in the repositioning of two iconic San Francisco brands, Just Desserts and AG Ferrari.
Director of Trade Marketing and Customer Service
Ana has worked in a broad capacity for Just Desserts since 2012. Ana has been critical in developing and implementing the new Just Desserts brand redesign including the development of the new label, the new proprietary package design, and the new website and social media platforms. Ana leads the new product development commercialization team and manages Just Desserts' trade marketing, customer service, consumer affairs and media relations. Prior to joining Just Desserts, Ana worked in B2B business development for Staples and earned her BA from Saint Mary’s College.
